Zeptosens is a recognised technology leader and among the first companies to commercialise reverse protein microarrays (RPA) and services. RPA's are a type of array in which protein extracts are immobilised and queried with antibodies or other reagents specific to the protein of interest in the sample (Proteomics Clin. Appl. (2009), 3, 412-22). The Zeptosens system allows to profile expression and activation of proteins in the equivalent of only 1- 10 cells. Current applications cover secondary screening of drug candidates, mapping of signalling pathways and networks, biomarker discovery and validation, pharmacodynamic investigations and analysis of in vivo animal models.
